Honorable Mention - BearHug by Lisa Fraser

BearHug is an inflatable vest to provide Deep Pressure Therapy to children with sensory processing disorders such as autism. Firm Pressure to the torso regulates the sensory system to ease anxiety and increase focus and attention. BearHug comes with fashionable and fun outer shells that attach to and conceal the inflatable core so that the user can fit in with their peers. Textured pockets provide additional calming benefits. The vest is inflated by the user pressing the paw of their teddybear electric pump to the desired amount of pressure they need providing independence. Pressure can then be monitored through a gauge.
