Silver - Dip by Larisa Schulze

As I observed the students, I noticed them gathering in pairs to look through picture books. Dip caters to this with seating for two. Incorporating storage with a place to land gives the user a reason to bring their attention to the contents. At some point in the midst of the project, I realized I could fulfill all of the user needs while creating a fastener-free product with a low environmental impact. The plywood is locally harvested and manufactured. A single sheet makes 3 benches! Dip is 'cut and paste' constructed – the profiles are routed out and assembled using a non-toxic wood glue, then given an all-natural tung oil finish.
